Hi, My name is Ina and this about me stuff is hard to write…
I grew up in Germany and came to the United States when I was 20 years old. The years have passed and I cannot believe that I am already living in this country for more than 10 years. For most of the time I lived in Florida and Miami is the home of my family since 2004. I first got my cat, then met my husband, we bought a dog and had two beautiful boys, Luca and Giorgio. To sum this up, I am surrounded by boys and it can get pretty loud, messy and wild in our house!!!! But this is the way I like it and I wouldn’t want to change it, except for adding a baby girl to our family. Let’s wait and see…
I love my family and friends, entertaining, crafting, baking, photography, painting, decorating, the color pink, glitter and parties (and much more like diamonds for example). We started having parties more and more and it was just natural to open an event planning business with my sister. Eva and I are very close and started crafting in our “Fabrik” in Germany from an early age. Fabrik means factory. But we got the name from the Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores. This was one of our favorite stores, when we came for vacation to Florida. In our factory in the basement of our house in Germany, we colored, crafted, glued and put glitter on all kinds of stuff… it was so much fun and kind of our crafting roots.
It was the perfect room for our projects, making Christmas presents and wrapping paper (like a pine cone Christmas tree for our mother) and the first time I used a saw, when we started working with plywood. I recently found one shell my sister made during that time. It was waiting all these years buried in a box with other treasures I have been collecting. But now it evolved in my new “good luck charm”.
Growing up, my sister and I were very close and it hasn’t changed a bit. Before we got married, we even used to live together (that was the time I bought my cat) and at a later point worked in several jobs side by side. We always worked very well together and one of us can finish the sentence of the other one.
We started to create new traditions and each holiday or party got better and more beautiful. I really love the way our Christmas Eve evolved over the years. ( Hopefully I can post something about that soon). We also started reading and learning more about the basics of successful event planing. I really enjoy organizing (and hosting too) the most spectacular parties and create memorable and unique elements, decorations, pinatas, backdrops and everything party related for our clients, friends and of course our own parties.
This lifestyle, design and party blog is about everything I love and features my ongoing projects and DIY party projects, party planning ideas, photography, my life and kids, design and anything beautiful and interesting (at least from my point of view).
I would love to hear from you or get some feedback. You can always write me at email@example.com
Thanks for visiting my blog and hope to see you again soon 🙂
